We are currently facing a global process of population ageing which, combined with the progressive lengthening of life expectancies and fall in birth rates, is reshaping the population pyramid – a process which is having a momentous impact on society and the economy.
As part of its strategic line on Ageing, Fundación General CSIC has produced an information video on the situation of the over-65s in Spanish society. This group currently makes up 17 per cent of the population.
