Under an agreement signed with the Centro para el Desarrollo Tecnológico Industrial (Centre for Industrial Technology Development, CDTI), the Fundación General CSIC has joined the Network of RTD Information Points (Red PIDI) as a local agent. The PIDI network aims to provide information and advice to businesses and entrepreneurs on public RTD funding lines, providing information about the funding best suited to the characteristics of each particular technology project and business. Through this network, CDTI and its other member institutions aim to foster scientific activity and contribute to raising the technological standard of Spanish companies.
The aim of the PIDI network is to become a national benchmark for business, researchers and entrepreneurs in terms of advice on RTD funding. The advice it offers covers everything from local to national and European programmes in all fields innovation.
The FGCSIC’s Analysis Unit is acting as the local agent for the network, making it the first point of contact point for stakeholders. Various channels have been set up which can be used to respond to doubts or queries from network users, who can ask for face-to-face meetings (by requesting a briefing) or have their query handled remotely (by telephone or email). Moreover, there is a special-purpose form on the FGCSIC’s website which interested parties can complete if they wish to ask for expert advice.
