Registration period open to participate in new editions of the Course on Good Scientific Practices

The Course on Good Scientific Practices (CBPC), organized by Fundación General CSIC (FGCSIC) with the collaboration of Fundación Banco Santander, will hold its fifteenth and sixteenth editions in the first half of 2023. It is a training activity aimed at young researchers who are starting out in their scientific careers, aimed at awakening their interest in issues related to responsible and value-based performance in research and to lay the foundations for a culture of scientific integrity based on the study of what are considered good practices.

The first edition of the CBPC took place in October 2018 and since then 14 editions have been held, motivated by an extraordinary demand that already exceeds 1560 applications. The editions held between 2018 and 2019 were face-to-face and took place in Madrid, Seville, Barcelona, Santander and Valencia. Due to the restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic during 2020, Fundación General CSIC had to cancel the editions scheduled that year and replace the face-to-face format with an online one, which is the one that has been taught since February 2021 through Zoom and which, being synchronous, allows real-time interaction with the professors and the rest of the students.

More than 400 doctoral students have already completed this training module, the contents of which are taught in 30 hours distributed over 5 weeks. The level of satisfaction of all of them is very high, both with regard to the contents and use of the course, as well as the pedagogical work carried out by the panel of professors who teach it.

To participate in the XV and XVI editions, a pre-registration period is open from January 10 to 31.
