On Wednesday 6th March, the Fundación General CSIC will be holding a seminar entitled “La colaboración público privada en la conservación de la biodiversidad,” on the subject of public-private partnerships for biodiversity conservation. The event will be taking place at the headquarters of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and the researchers involved in the five FGCSIC Proyectos Cero projects on endangered species will be giving an update on their projects’ progress.
The event will be subdivided into four sections, starting with an introduction to the seminar by the Director of the Fundación General CSIC, Miguel García Guerrero. This will be followed by a talk by research professor Miguel Ferrer Baena entitled: “Biodiversidad y empresa privada: del conflicto a la colaboración” (Biodiversity and private business: from conflict to cooperation"). The third section will comprise a presentation by the researchers involved in the five FGCSIC Proyectos Cero on endangered species, who will give an account of the progress made.
Finally, the seminar will be closed by Emilio Lora -Tamayo, President of the CSIC and of the Fundación CSIC, and Emilio Botín, president of Banco Santander.
