Fundación General CSIC (FGCSIC) is launching COMTE-Innovation, a new call of the COMTE programme that aims to support the valorisation of technological projects and knowledge generated by research staff of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), based on the protected results of their research projects, and which can correspond to any scientific-technical area.
After the success of the beneficiary projects of the two previous editions of COMTE-EBT, focused on the creation and acceleration of technology-based companies, COMTE-Innovation will deploy actions aimed at enhancing the value of knowledge for its implementation in society and the market, regardless of the transfer strategies required by each project.
Through this initiative, Fundación General CSIC offers intensive mentoring for 24 months by expert mentors in entrepreneurship and business development; and a complete and personalised programme of support, acceleration, legal advice and help in seeking public and private funding for the projects, so that they can develop their value proposition and the ideal business strategy, as well as the necessary milestones that will enable them to increase their levels of maturity and reach society and/or the market.
This national call will be open throughout the month of May 2022, and will have a team of experts from all areas of the innovation ecosystem to select the beneficiary projects. The Fundación will have the support and collaboration of SECOT Seniors Españoles para la Cooperación Técnica, as well as the international consultancy FI Group, to generate the teams and resources adapted to the needs of each project and promoting team.
In this way, through a comprehensive strategy of coordinated and complementary programmes and actions, the Fundación General CSIC offers impactful responses to all the needs detected by research staff in terms of the valorisation of the results of their work and their commercial exploitation possibilities, as well as their transfer to the market.
The deadline for submission of applications is the 31st of May 2022 at noon.
