On 28 February, at 11 a.m., the Minister for Education, Culture and Sport, José Ignacio Wert is due to award Miguel García Guerrero, Director of the Fundación General CSIC, and vice-chancellor of the Menéndez Pelayo International University, the Commander of the Civil Order of Alfonso X, the Wise, and to award the Grand Cross of the Civil Order of Alfonso X, the Wise, to César Nombela Cano, Delegate Trustee of the Fundación General CSIC.
The Civil Order of Alfonso X, the Wise, is awarded to individuals and entities, whether Spanish or foreign, in recognition of their outstanding merit or exceptional contribution to the fields of education, science, culture, teaching or research, in Spain or abroad.
